Original Job Description: Training & Document Specialist

Training & Document Specialists facilitate training on Bonterra products to customers and employees. Training delivered may take the form of onsite or remote Instructor-Led Training classes delivered to individual customers, group training programs for multiple customers at a time, or highly scripted public webinar sessions presented to large number of customers on a regular basis.
Training delivered by Training & Document Specialists focuses on equipping Bonterra customers with the skills and knowledge to maximize their value from their Bonterra products. Training & Document Specialists draw upon their knowledge of both the Bonterra products as well as the industries they are serving to deliver training that is informative and directly relatable to the customer’s organizational needs.
Please note, while the role could call upon the employee to learn and train any Bonterra product, the immediate need for this role will be for NGP VAN and Mobilize, so a background in those products and/or experience within a political campaign is required.
Essential Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Instructional design of end-to-end training courses, including the development of training agendas, lesson plans, powerpoints and trainer resources.
- Participate in go-to-market launch activities for new training courses.
- Facilitate Instructor-Led Training classes following standard agendas and lesson plans.
- Where necessary, adapt Instructor-Led Training classes to suit the unique system configuration and/or work processes of each customer.
- Facilitate group training sessions for customers from multiple organizations concurrently.
- Present public webinars to large audiences.
- Answer customer questions in a respectful and informative manner.
- Ensure training sessions start and end as scheduled.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience designing customer-facing training courses preferred
- Subject Matter Expertise in one or more Bonterra products from a user and administrator perspective.
- Minimum 3 years industry experience in one or more of the industry domains that Bonterra serves, and/or minimum 3 years experience solving complex problems facing non profits using a mix of best practices and usage of Bonterra product functionality in a consultative manner.
- Ability to present complex technical informative in a clear, relatable manner.
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with public speaking, leading, and managing a virtual classroom
- Ability to learn new systems independently through self-exploration.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to present remotely for up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to stand in front of a classroom for up to 8 hours a day.
This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by CWA Local 1400, 2336 or 13000.
Compensation
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.
US base salary range: $56,300 - $101,400
Please note that the compensation range specified in this job posting is applicable to candidates based in the United States. For international applicants, actual salary offers may vary based on the local market compensation standards and will be determined in accordance with regional considerations, including but not limited to applicable laws, cost of living, and industry norms.
