About the team:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of experienced investigators responsible for investigating and resolving complex auto crime cases primarily involving auto theft. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, investigative expertise, and a proactive approach to mitigating auto theft activities.
This position is based in Phoenix, AZ and will report to our Director, Trust & Safety Investigations and Response.
What you will do:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of up to eight investigators, providing guidance and support in handling complex and organized crime cases.
- Partner with leadership to improve processes and implement strategies to mitigate auto theft activities and prevent future occurrences.
- Oversee the selection, onboarding, and performance of external contract investigators.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Conduct training sessions for team members and other relevant staff on auto theft investigation techniques and best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in organized crime and auto theft prevention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Product, and Protection, to address auto theft issues comprehensively.

The Phoenix base salary target range for this full-time position is $83,000 - $100,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in this location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
