This is a remote position.
First Due is seeking a tech-savvy, customer-focused fire and EMS subject matter expert to work as an Implementation Product Specialist. In this role, you will work with Fire & EMS customers in Canada to Implement First Due modules, providing industry-leading leadership, guidance, and support as First Due continues to build its best-of-breed end-to-end Fire and EMS platform.
The Role
- Act as an Implementation Product Specialist for First Due’s Fire Incident Reporting and/or EMS/ePCR modules
- Work directly with new customers to efficiently and effectively configure and optimize assigned modules.
- Partner with implementation project managers to successfully implement and launch First Due to Fire and EMS customers of varying sizes and complexities.
- Stay educated on module functionality, configuration, and industry best practices, including provincial compliance requirements for Fire Incident Reporting and/or EMS.
- Provide guidance on Provincial Reporting standards to both customers and First Due’s product management team.
- Assist the product management team in understanding the path to provincial compliance across multiple provinces.
- Maintain a full understanding of the features being developed in current and future sprints as well as the product roadmap.
- Document product gaps arising during implementation and work with product management to ideate potential solutions, especially in relation to meeting provincial compliance requirements.
- Participate in regional and national user group meetings both virtually and in person.
- Develop a deep understanding of competitors’ capabilities within the assigned area of the product.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in Public Safety software or operations (preferably in Fire or EMS)
- Understanding of Canadian Fire/EMS market and associate provincial standards
- Ability to take customer requests, determine the desired end state and provide a straightforward path to the most efficient solution.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional project management skills: ability to manage multiple customer requests and projects simultaneously.
- Patient, responsive, supportive, and respectful; adept at presenting, responding to feedback, and reasonably overcoming obstacles.
